Elizabeth L. Mo

Ms. Mo, a former prosecutor and current counsel at Mo Law, draws on her extensive experience to represent individuals and corporations in white-collar criminal investigations, high-stakes federal and state criminal defense, enforcement actions, complex civil litigation, and compliance oversight. As a first-chair trial and appellate lawyer, she has a near-undefeated record in state and federal courts, with numerous cases resulting in published decisions.
Clients routinely trust Ms. Mo for her expertise in handling grand jury investigations and securing favorable non-prosecution agreements with state and federal authorities. Her strategic approach and dedication to achieving the best possible outcomes make her a sought-after legal advisor.
Ms. Mo began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, serving in both the Trial and Investigation Divisions, including the Financial Frauds Bureau and Crime Strategies Unit. She also served as Legal Counsel for a high-end NYC events and catering company that provided job training and employment to survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, where she oversaw all labor and employment matters, internal policies, and investigations.
Currently, Ms. Mo co-chairs the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s Government Enforcement and Compliance Committee. She is an active member of the Asian American Bar Association of New York, where she previously co-chaired the Young Lawyers Committee, and is also a member of the New York City Bar Association.
Ms. Mo’s commitment to public service is longstanding. Before law school, she served as a Paralegal Specialist in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Outstanding Scholars Program, working in the Public Integrity Unit at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York (EDNY). During law school, she gained additional experience as a Legal Intern at EDNY and as a Legal Extern at the U.S. Department of Labor’s New York Regional Solicitor’s Office.
Born in New York and raised in Queens, Ms. Mo is a proud product of New York City public schools. She attended Townsend Harris High School and earned her B.A. in International Relations, cum laude, from Mount Holyoke College. She received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law, with a focus on Litigation and Dispute Resolution.
Ms. Mo is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and has working knowledge of Spanish and Japanese.
